Being the outdoorsy girl I am, and today being the beautiful day it was, it was time to ride my mountain bike. Could I do it? NO! I accidentally dumped it off the back of my car a week ago, when I forgot to hitch it down. I cried like I'd run over a dog. boo hoo. That's okay, there's still my road bike. yipppeee. :) and my mountain bike will be good as new on Monday. Now, if the beautiful days keep it up we're all in business.

Purple Weber State

Do you like purple? I do. We've just returned from our first official visit to Weber State U. They were super! We met with the President of the University, Dean of the COB, and the Athletic Director to name a few. EVERYTHING at the school is purple, including walls, floors, couches, and seats. Sounds like Nick will visit Duquesne, Santa Barbara, CalPoly, Fullerton or Albany for the other 4 out of 5 he's allowed. Wow, Kyrsten and Sam to Chicago in May, Taryn & Ryan to Ohio in May/June, Dan grads in May, Nick to Memphis in May, Amanda to Hawaii in May, Kell & Randy & Brit to Pocatello in May. What else?

Palm Trees

I don't understand why God didn't give us Palm Trees in Idaho and while we're on the subject, how about dolphins and whales in our lakes? Guess we got the views that take your breath away, mountains that go forever, creeks and trout, and on and on. Just spent a few days in Mesquite with Nick and Amanda. Only lost $15 bucks. :) It was a great time. :) love to all....

1. Love jewelry. I know, I'm not froo froo enough to like jewelry but I love it! Not the gold kind you buy in a jewelry store with diamonds but the kind that's hand made, or unusual. Only bracelets, earrings and rings. No necklaces. I just bought a Trollbeads bracelet.

2. Alfred Hitchcock is the man! Old movies are the best with Steve McQueen and Cary Grant and Doris Day and Rock Hudson and Gene Kelly and Elizabeth Taylor. Especially Frank Kapra movies, he had such great character development.

3. Even though I love my grandkids so much, it was more fun having my own kids because they were with me all the time. Don't like the babies leaving. Wish they'd all move in here. There's room! I'd buy a playground. Raise any eyebrows? :)

4. Don't much like the color orange and I work at Idaho State U.

5. I just renewed my passport that expired after 10 years of never using it... so that means I'm optimistic!

6. I have a lifetime adventure list.

Sicko

Nick just called and he's a sicko. Sometimes I wonder what is the deal with being sick. I know it helps us appreciate when we feel good but honestly, the timing! He was barfing at practice today. Does anyone else remember the state tournament game in Twin when Nick would barf in the garbages and then go play? Guys. Good Luck this weekend CSI!

I'm thinking about cleaning my house before mountain biking season starts, including painting the pitiful basement and fixing up the office downstairs. nah. Guess I'll go snow shoeing instead. Anybody want to come?

Holy Moly! Is it ever a beautiful day in Pocatello today! (rhetorical) Snow capped mountains and blue blue sky. We're all busy making preparations for Nick's regional tournament March 7th & 8th and then on to nationals in Hutchinson Kansas March 16th-. I checked Google map quest to see how far it was to Nauvoo... too far. Angie Em and I have started a recipe night. Each of us take a turn once a week fixing a new dish. It's a blast and we're all not only learning new recipes and techniques, but that there are a lot of foods out there we love! love to all of you....
